I had a great experience at this restaurant, but what truly made it stand out was the exceptional service from our server, Darwin. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. His recommendations were spot on, and he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s rare to find service this good—Darwin definitely made our dining experience memorable. Highly recommended!

This place really is a diamond in the rough. I went today at around 5:30 - 6pm and this place is amazing. I went with my mom which is a first time for both of us. We were greeted accordingly and told to sit anywhere which was awesome. I looked through their menu and even walking in my stomach growled with all the menu selections and smell of the cooking. I ordered the tuna roll, steak with pasta hibachi and hot matcha coffee. My mom is a sucker for fried rice which she got the special which comes with shrimp, chicken and steak. I am usually pretty picky with my sushi as I've been disappointed by other places in my area. The waiter answered any questions I had. He was also very kind. When he came out with the tuna and two drinks I was really excited. Omg the tuna was fresh with a ruby red color. The rice was delicious too. It really hit the spot. Next was the matcha coffee. I had only one sip and thought I had reached heaven. It had a slight fragrance taste which seemed pretty smooth to me. Also if you can' t have whole milk they have options like soy, oat and almond. Summer Wood Café in Sunrise is a true hidden gem, especially if you love sushi. The quality of the sushi is outstanding—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, with every roll tasting like it was made with real care. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind, making every visit feel personal. Whether you’re dining in or picking up food to go, the service is quick, attentive, and always delivered with a smile. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, great people, and great service this well. Highly recommended.

This place is definitely a hit and a hidden gem! My son and I absolutely love coming here it’s become one of our favorite go-to spots. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the portions are super satisfying. Their boba is top-tier (trust me, I’ve tried a lot!), especially when you add the cake cream topping it’s so good. We also really enjoy the sushi rolls and hibachi plates. The crab rangoons were perfectly crisp and the corn bites were surprisingly addicting. On top of that, the service is always exceptional and personable. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and they make every visit feel welcoming. It’s a smaller spot, which honestly shocks me because the quality is amazing and it’s rarely packed the way it should be. Highly recommend this place for a casual dinner, boba run, or even a quiet night out with family. They deserve all the love!
